It's very easy to use. If it's the first
time for you to use X2CD Music CD Burner, there is a
5 minutes
quick guide for you.
What does these buttons on X2CD Music CD Burner
mean?
If you don't understand a
button's usage, just move the mouse cursor over it and stay still for a
while. A tool tip will then popup to explain the usage of the button.
Does X2CD Music CD Burner need lots of extra hard
disk space?
No, not at all! X2CD Music CD Burner burns media files directly to audio
CDs. It does not generate any temporary WAV files.
Where do I begin?
Drag and drop the files you want
onto the X2CD's BurnCD screen, hit the start button, and take a cup of
coffee. The custom CD will be ready soon! Both 74 and 80-minute CDR/RW
discs are supported. There is no need to convert to WAV! Your CD is burned
on-the-fly.
The Burn CD and Convert functions don't work
well, why?
Your computer may not have DirectX
8.0 or later installed. Please
download DirectX from Microsoft and install it.
How do I find out what version of DirectX I am
using?
Run X2CD and click
to open about-dialog. The DirectX version information appears on it. Or
use windows's main menu Start>Run, run DXDIAG.EXE then see result.
Why is DVD video seeking slow?
It is because of the MPEG2 encoding
technology. When seeking occurs, it must find a key frame to display the
screen. However, this will not have any effect on audio ripping. So you
can select the start/stop time just by what you hear.
When seeking with DVD video, it only seeks
to 6 minutes! Why?
It's because current playback mode is
test mode (
is highlighting) also, unregistered versions of X2CD will set the stoptime
to 6 minutes when the media time exceed 6 minutes, just click
button
to change the playback mode to play mode then you can exceed this limit.
However the length of the segment between start time and stop time can not
exceed 6 minutes in unregistered version, else the CD burning function
will not work.
When I add file \VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_0.VOB in my DVD
disc, X2CD tell me "Can not play back the audio stream: the audio format
is not supported." Why?
Because this .vob file is a DVD
video menu without audio stream, X2CD cannot find any recognized audio
stream.
There is no error message while reading a vob
file, X2CD just crashes then closes! why?
Some dvd drives needs to "unlock"
the movie. So you just play the dvd with your dvd movie player, and then
open the vob file in x2cd and it will work fine.
When I burn soundtrack CD directly from DVD, X2CD
failed, why?
You should turn on test mode
when
you are making soundtrack CD directly from DVD driver/disc to ensure that
the CPU and I/O subsystems are both fast enough to support the burning
speed you selected, if the test mode failed, please a select lower CDR
writing speed. Also you can convert DVD soundtrack to mp3 or wav
files first then burn those files to CD.
Why is the DVD soundtrack volume so soft?
You should select Normalize check box
to
enable automatic volume level adjustment.
When should I use Test Mode?
You should turn on test mode
to
check if the computer is fast enough before the first burn of a CD. You
should also use test mode when you are making soundtrack CD directly from
DVD driver/disc to ensure that the CPU and I/O subsystems are both fast
enough to support the burning speed you selected, if test mode failed,
please select lower CDR writing speed.
You will need a Pentium II 200 PC
or higher with a CD Recorder, 64MB RAM or more. The operating system
should be Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP with
DirectX 8 or later installed.
